Bullet train get clearance to pass through Sanjay Gandhi National Park and flamingo sanctuary and is granted by Union environment minister Harsh Vardhan. It is an Mumbai - Ahmedabad bullet train project and funded by Japan Government. It can cause serious harm to limited and threatened biodiversity. It includes area of flamingo sanctuary, Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Tungareshwar wildlife sanctuary (which is considered as corridor between Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Tansa Wildlife sanctuary). We as a country already are facing problems in protecting and conserving the biodiversity we have and on top of it projects like this will ensure more harm to it.
