Old Redding Petition Update July 2022

The two petitions were presented to the full council meeting of the new Conservative administration by Geoff Eldridge on the 21st of July

1. Stop Closure of Harrow Viewpoint Car Park and
2. Reinstate the right for people to visit Old Redding Viewpoint and The Case is Altered Pub

The council discussed the issue and generally were positive, however, reference was made to the historic anti-social issues. The new leader of the council, Paul Osborn, stated that he was keen to extend the hours of the car park and would want to work positively with any future management of the Case is Altered. He expressed a need for any future decisions to be based on hard evidence and proposed installing CCTV to assess the situation.
