Save Harrow's children's centres

The Issue

Please support thousands of children and parents across Harrow and sign this petition to save our children's centres. Harrow Council has announced plans to make huge budget cuts, which could see the closure of as many as 15 of the 16 children's centres across Harrow. The good news is, it says there are no firm plans to close the centres right now - at this stage they're considering all options. Which means with enough support, and enough noise from us, the centres could stay open.

These centres provide vital free education and support to thousands of young children and parents across the borough.

From giving parents critical information about child development, dental care and nutrition, to running regular sessions which allow babies and children to develop and learn in a safe environment, these centres are so important to Harrow's many families.

In addition to the education they offer young children, the centres also provide a place where new parents can meet each other and find support and encouragement throughout the challenging first months/years of raising a family.

Without these facilities, many new mums face having nowhere to go at a time when they are most in need of support, information and companionship.

Please sign our petition to ask Harrow Council to keep these vital centres open.
