

Whilst the Rise Associate report was vital to uncover the poor culture and failing performance of the NMC there have been other spends that really don't seem to show the same benefit
There seems an automation of the NMC to use our fees on external law firms but no accountability or governance around the standard of the work being done and whether this is value for money.
The long awaiting report by KC Ijeoma OMambala was delayed and delayed - costs £100,000 and never came to light as was recommissions to a law firm who no doubt was paid in addition to what Ijeoma was paid...
Our point is - registrant will support fees increasing if confidence can be given that they are being spent properly. Previous history doesn't give this confidence
