March in Support of Sure Start Centres 13th May in Winchester!

You may know about this already, but on 13th May, HCC Councillors are meeting in Winchester to decide the fate of a number of SURE START centres. If these go, it will mean the loss of a valuable service to a great deal of families across the county who rely on them. Plus the loss of around 60% of jobs. We’re planning to meet at the ‘PIG’ statue outside of Winchester County Council HQ at around 9:00am and there’s a march planned – down the hill to King Alfred’s statue. Press and TV are going to be present and it would be excellent if as many people as possible would consider supporting this protest. The more the merrier! Flags, whistles, megaphones, rattles and banners are very welcome. Thanks for any help
