What are the potential financial motivations behind the push for American Preparatory Academy (APA) in Alpine?

  1. Financial gain: Who benefits from APA's payments to American Preparatory Schools (the Educational Management Organization for APA).
  2. Lack of exploration of alternative options (non-profit charter or traditional schools) **You can't make money off them.
  3. Developer interests: Why is a developer on APA's board pushing so hard for a long-term lease on public land?
  4. Wyoming law: concerns about APA acquiring state-funded assets if the school closes.
  5. Land leverage: Potential risks if the land is used as collateral.
  6. Manipulation: Accusations of spreading misinformation about APA being the only option.
  7. Aggressive push-back when these questions are asked. "No one is as angry as the person who is wrong."

We encourage further investigation. Consider:

1. Researching APA's financial records and connections to developers.

2. Contacting local officials and APA board members for clarification. If they say, "That's been debunked," ask for verifiable 3rd-party proof.

3. Attending Alpine Town Council meetings and asking questions.

4. Exploring alternative education options for Alpine.

This decision has long-term, widespread consequences for Alpine. We deserve to know what we're getting into and if it's truly the best option for our town. Follow the money. If it walks like a duck...

Let's slow down. Before our goose is cooked.
