Halt the Rezoning of Highway 421 Area
The Issue
To whom it may concern;
In regards to petition application requested by Peggy Westerman applied for on January 24, 2025.

Our homes on Peterson Road and Hwy 421 are next to petitioners address of 9518 LA Hwy 421, Saint Francisville, LA. Like many of my neighbors, one of the reasons we love living here in our rural area is for the tranquility and peacefulness we have. Most of us have lived here for 20+ years. The rezoning plan in our area threatens to burden our rural peace with the noise from weddings and parties. We are concerned that the noise will disrupt the peacefulness of our neighborhood. As we all know when you have weddings and parities most have bands or DJ's not to mention the noise level from the participants will surely disrupt the tranquility in which we have all grown accustom too. This is the reason we purchased our homes in this area. It will also bring in more traffic which our roads are not equipped to handle.
Our neighborhood consist of young families and elderly retired couples. And this plan threatens the character of our quiet rural presence which we highly value.
In order to maintain the serenity of our home environments and to safeguard the overall safety and sanctity of the area, it is fundamental to oppose the S-1 rezoning plan decisively. Together, we can make a difference. To stand for the continuation of our local peace we ask that you halt the rezoning process of the Highway 421 area.
