Think of the trees along Robie, Bell Road and Summer Streets as part of a ‘city trail’ These Halifax Common street trees are irreplaceable. The Halifax Common belongs to ‘the inhabitants of the town of Halifax as Common forever’ - everyone must work to hold all levels of government to account to design the building to the highest standard for our health and the health of Earth. We know the trees can be saved by setting the new hospital building back from the edge to protect their roots.
Our goal is to reach 1,500 signatures and we need more support. Can you please help by asking others to sign?
