(Ki'jupuk / Halifax) A big "Thank you" to Citadel High and Gorsebrook Junior High students and the many others who came to rally to protect 37 trees on the Halifax Common.

Trees on the Halifax Common are on land given to 'the inhabitants of the town of Halifax as Common forever," as a 240-acre grant from King Charles III in 1763. That land belongs to all of us.

We need to insist that Premier Houston, Mayor Savage and Councillor Mason work together for a hospital design that is set back from the side walk and the trees are saved. Please spread the word and encourage others to sign our petition. Have a great outdoor weekend - may you feel the wonder of the trees!
