An update and a thank you to all who signed the Stop Poisoning our Native Bees petition.
Simon Mulvany from Save the Bees Australia and Kate Mason from Community Voice Australia will be speaking to Senators on the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee tomorrow in Newcastle.
Simon and Kate will be speaking on the NSW government's response to Varroa Mite. The reason we have been asked to attend is that the government is wanting to understand how Varroa was dealt with to inform how to approach the Red Imported Fire ants.
Both, Save the Bees Australia, Community Voice Australia, NSW bee keepers campaigned extensively regarding our concerns at the government's approach to Varroa and the Fipronil poisoning. We both look forward to our opportunity to raise the concerns we identified, and to offer suggestions as to how the government can progress.
Please support us and listen in from 11:30am-12pm NSW time.
