Petition updateHalt the Extinction of the Greater GliderFences and Surfboards protest

The people said STOP !
About 250 people turned out at Manyana on Saturday (pretty good for a village of 500) to make a Local Statement to Ozy Homes and the Government. Enough is enough. No more destruction, we have nothing left. A huge Stop sign was created out of surfboards. Cyclists, kids with their families, oldies and youngies and all sorts of wonderful people in costumes got together in a very Covid friendly way to tell it like it is. Jorj and I spoke about the ensuing destruction and that if the Law says its OK then the Law must be changed and a few other things besides.

It was a great day though very serious and sad too but it was truly wonderful to see so many people believing in and united in the cause. It made me think about all the incredible, brave, loving, kind, courageous, generous people I had met through the disaster of the fires. Through all that destruction and sadness they were the silver lining breaking through, restoring my faith in people.

Then Ozy Homes came. I have said what I can. Their actions speak louder than my words. But I still have faith inspite of them. There are 75,000 of us now. That gives me faith. Imagine if we had 150,000
Ozy Homes are coming today they say. I will be out protesting as you read this.
Keep sharing the petition, it shows us you care. #savethegreaterglider
