Attorney General Kris Mayes is having a town hall meeting on 10/14/26.

Press release: On August 31, 2026, Attorney General Mayes called for a Statewide Pause on data centers.  She called on the Governor and lawmakers to pass legislation to halt data center approvals until Arizona develops a plan to manage the industry's growth.

Department of Interior cut Arizona’s Colorado River water by almost 30%.
