Hello, I'm happy to report some good news today. At last night's City Council meeting, the Council voted on a measure to put a temporary moratorium on all new development in our neighborhood for six months.  The City Director of Planning and Building spoke to our long-standing issues and the Council agreed that further research into the area needs to be done before more development can take place. Additionally, the City Council voted to accept our petition for further review.
Thanks to each and every one of you who signed this petition. It is not the sole reason that the City Council passed this resolution - there have been many people working behind the scenes to determine how to move forward in a fair and equitable way. However, I believe that the amount of people who signed did bring more prominence to the issue. Thank you from the bottom of my (and other neighbor's) hearts.
