Today the Planning Dept at Prestons City Council have refused the application for the phone mast at Beacon Fell

The report states that they received:

• 126 public responses, of which:
• 123 objections 
• 2 in support
• 1 petition (this one!)

Plus objections from Councillors Sue Whittham, Stephen Thompson, Stephen Whittham and Nigel Evans MP, plus Goosnargh Parish Council

Refusal was on the basis of the development causing “significant and unacceptable harm” to the local area. This was not offset by the need for a better phone signal, which was not seen to the case

A victory! Thanks to everyone that has supported this campaign. We are confident the refusal is strong enough to stop any appeal or resubmission, but we will be back if they try again…
