Parents and families of RB21,
First and foremost I would like to thank you all for your participation in this signature drive. It is impossible to accomplish our goal without your support.
I would like to inform you that unfortunately there is a political side to getting things done. What is supposed to be common sense is thrown out when there are millions of dollars on the line. Corporate greed and personal gain take first place as opposed to the safety of our children.
I am saddened at the poor support that we have received from our community when it comes to actually reaching out to the government bodies and making our voices heard. They unfortunately think there’s only a few of us who are concerned with the building of a Gas station right next to a school. The reason is because only a handful of us have actually reached out personally both to the city and to the Air quality board. It it this exact action that threatens our democracy and our community, NO ACTION.
That is why I am asking for one last favor from you! If indeed this is of importance to you as much as it is for me, COME SUPPORT US TOMORROW! We need the mayor and city officials know that we do not stand for this nonsense and we are ready to take it to the next level if we are not heard.
I will personally be there to voice my concerns but the Mayor needs to know that it is more than one voice. A handful of people unfortunately is not enough. We need to fill the room with concerned citizens for this to be successful and we start at their meeting tomorrow.
Will you support us?
