UPDATE: 5/6/14 11:22pm EMAIL RECEIVED FROM S.A.F.E Thanks for the vote for our smart meter moratorium. I appreciate your concern and support. Unfortunately the next step is in the hands of the 3 selectmen who could choose to go with it or ignore our wishes or just trash our warrant. Not approving the moratorium means our votes are not respected by them and we would have to vote again... rewording the warrant so they could not have a say in what we choose. This is not gov't by the people. We will see what they do. One comment from the "office" today was that the town couldn't control what the utility does. That sounds like a way out to me..
