July 21, 2026 UPDATE!! Niya has been unjustly evicted!!

It is with great dismay that we report that today Niya, a single mother of three, found herself fighting in court virtually alone. Leaving her defenseless in Tompkins County. 

We ask for the communities continued support as we navigate through what Judge Aherne’s ruling means. Having ordered this VAWA protected tenant, and her family confused and frightened.

PeopleVsPower asks that you sign and share with as many people possible to raise awareness to the issues unrepresented pro se members continue to face.
