I know that the petition has been closed while I try and negotiate with GWR and ensure they put in place the two additional employees they have promised for the regional cover team and that this has some effect.

However I have come across a new message on the National Rail website re staffing hours for Yeovil Pen Mill this coming week which will be very poor so I wanted to forewarn you all. Changes to the staffing hours for this coming week can be found below or by clicking on the link above which will take you to the message on the National Rail website.

Sunday 8th February - unstaffed

Tuesday 10th Feb - Thursday 12th Feb staffed only 07:25 - 14:25

Friday 13th Feb staffed only 07:45 - 12:25

if this effects any of you I would encourage you to contact GWR and let them know. Please make some noise to try and protect staffing at our local station!

If by the middle of March updates on the National Rail website state the station won’t be covered it’s full scheduled staffing hours I will re-open the petition as by that time the regional cover team should have at least one extra member of staff working for it.

I would suggest everyone keeps an eye on the station page on the National Rail website linked above to receive staffing hours updates.
