Petition updateHelp us save little Suman the elephant, and reunite her family!Suman's Cruel Owner Exposed
Wildlife SOS
May 31, 2018
We have said in the past that Suman is being held in one of the cruelest cities in India for elephants, and by one of its most notorious owners. Above is a photograph from Brigitte Kornetzky's powerful documentary "Where the Elephant Sleeps" showing one of Suman's owners proudly brandishing a hatchet he had just beaten the elephant (named Sita) in the background with. We know this man to be Ballu Khan. We have spared you the graphic images from this scene (and others in the film), but some are posted on our website here: http://wildlifesos.org/cruelty/ We want to thank Ms. Kornetzky for making the documentary and allowing us to use the images from it. Please watch her film, at the following link: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/wheretheelephantsleeps40 And we want to thank you again for your help saving this little elephant and reuniting her with Peanut, her sister, by signing this petition. Please spread the word about the horrendous treatment of elephants forced to give rides in Jaipur (and elsewhere). To learn more about Suman and her family, please visit her web page, here: http://wildlifesos.org/save-suman/
