Sorry to trouble you but there are millions of older people in the UK not receiving the social care support they desperately need. We are still fending off attacks on the Triple Lock but the social care crisis is unresolved.

When the Government took office it immediately ditched its promise to bring in a cap on the lifetime costs of care, to stop family homes being sold to pay for astronomical residential homes fees. Instead it set up a Social Care Commission to look at the whole question of social care. This is a blatant delaying tactic because Labour has decided not to put any extra funds into social care until 2030/31!
Silver Voices is determined to expose this cynical behaviour and we have put a new petition on the official Government website calling for the Commission to be scrapped and urgent decisions taken on the crisis. We need to get 10,000 signatures to get the Government to respond.
