Join The Protest Outside Parliament To Save the Triple Lock!

All members and supporters in the London area, who are fit to travel, are urged to attend a protest in College Green (opposite the House of Lords) at 11am on Budget Day, Wednesday 28 October 2026. This will be a short static protest, lasting no more than 45 minutes, with the aim of showing parliamentarians that we will not accept the scrapping of the Triple Lock as proposed by Andy Burnham.

Scrapping the Lock’s direct link with earnings is intended to save the government £15 billion over the next decade, all of it taken from the state pensions which would have been paid if the Lock had remained in place. The protest will provide great photo opportunities for future publicity and is being organised by Silver Voices in conjunction with the Daily Express newspaper.

Some placards will be available on the day, but please feel free to improvise your own and bring family and friends if you wish. The protest is strictly non-party political. If you intend to come, please email Silver Voices at info@silvervoices.co.uk so that we can keep a track on expected numbers.

If you are unable to attend please show your support for our campaign to save the Triple Lock by joining Silver Voices, if you are over 60 and not already a member:
