GTAA's website states that the first "Mascot Maxim" of Buzz is to always wear black Converse high tops. Buzz's shoes are iconic: defining him almost as much as his shapely head or his mischievous antics. His Converse shoes are part of Georgia Tech's legacy and traditions, both of which are held in high esteem in the eyes of the Tech student body and alumni. GT Athletics have overstepped their bounds with this change, as his new shoes are not only more lackluster but also are not meant for the hijinks and tomfoolery required of the mascot. We, who signed here below, demand that GT Athletics and Adidas add a clause in their contract stating that Buzz can rightfully return to his favorite shoe: the black Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.
