Seit 2012 bin ich leidenschaftlicher Geocacher und habe dieses Hobby mit großer Freude und Engagement ausgeübt. Jetzt fühle ich mich jedoch durch eine kürzlich von Groundspeak Inc. eingeführte Regeländerung stark benachteiligt. Diese Änderungen betreffen nicht nur mich, sondern auch unzählige andere Cacheowner weltweit, die durch diese neue Regelung eingeschränkt werden.

Geocaching ist nicht nur ein einfacher Zeitvertreib; es ist eine Community, die auf Vertrauen und Fairness aufgebaut ist. Cacheowner investieren viel Zeit, Energie und oft auch finanzielle Mittel, um anderen Geocachern spannende Entdeckungen zu ermöglichen. Die kürzlich eingeführten Änderungen jedoch erschweren es uns erheblich und nehmen uns die Motivation, weiterhin qualitativ hochwertige Erfahrungen für die Community zu bieten.

Es geht hierbei um mehr als nur eine Regeländerung. Es geht darum, den Geist des Geocachings zu bewahren – eines Hobbys, das Menschen weltweit zusammenbringt und die Freude an Natur und Entdeckung fördert.

Ich appelliere an Groundspeak Inc. und die Verantwortlichen, diese Regeländerung nochmals zu überdenken und im Dialog mit der Community eine Lösung zu finden, die sowohl die Bedürfnisse der Plattform als auch die der Cacheowner berücksichtigt.

Since 2012, I have been a passionate geocacher and have pursued this hobby with great joy and dedication. However, I now feel severely disadvantaged by a recent rule change introduced by Groundspeak Inc. These changes affect not only me, but also countless other cache owners worldwide who are being restricted by this new regulation.

The recently introduced changes, however, make this significantly more difficult for us and take away our motivation to continue offering high-quality experiences for the community.

This is about more than just a rule change. It is about preserving the spirit of geocaching—a hobby that brings people together around the world and fosters the joy of nature and discovery.

I appeal to Groundspeak Inc. and those responsible to reconsider this rule change and to find a solution in dialogue with the community that takes into account both the needs of the platform and those of the cache owners.
