Dear Friends,

This morning I find myself unable to sleep, tossing and turning the last several hours. My heart is heavy with worry. As many of you know, I have been fighting for Temujin’s freedom for the past five years, but these last few weeks have been especially difficult. He has not called or written, and with his recent non-ST-elation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) he sufferred, I cannot escape the fear that the next call I receive may be the one I dread most. The mental anguish is indescribable.

Adding to this hardship, Temujin has been held in segregation since September 4th and is currently on loss of privileges. This has cut off much of his contact and made an already cruel situation even more unbearable.

I am reaching out to you not just as friends, but as fellow believers in justice and compassion. Please keep Temujin in your prayers — for his safety, for his health, and for his release from this nightmare.

We are preparing a letter to Governor Whitmer, asking her to show mercy and grant medical consideration on Temujin’s existing clemency petition. Time is not on our side, and every prayer and every voice truly matters. The officers know about his heart attack and it just takes one with a grudge against him to come by and taze him to render him unconscious. The emergency call button in that cell isn’t just broken, the button is missing completely. 

If you haven’t already, I ask you to please add your name to the petition calling for his release and exoneration and share it with your friends and family, asking them to sign. Each signature is a reminder that Temujin is not forgotten and that justice must prevail.
