Hi friends. I have some sad news for you today.
I was doing more research on orangutans hurt by the palm oil industry and found that it is not uncommon for them to be kept as sex slaves for men who would pay for the novelty of having sex with an orangutan.
Pony was rescued in 2007 from sex slavery in Borneo, where she was shaved down to appear more human-like, and was found "chained to a wall, lying on a mattress".
It took over a year for authorities to rescue her because the local villagers would threaten them with guns and poisoned knives. Here are the articles if you are interested:

This petition is not enough. Be an ethical and conscious consumer and try to avoid products with palm oil as much as you can.
Keep spreading the news. Much love.
