Save the Aussie Cats

Save the Aussie Cats
The Issue
The Australian government has declared war on the feral cat population. Some areas are even a offering a $10 ($7) bounty per feral cat scalp. By 2020, the government wants to kill two million free roaming cats, a large chunk of the total feral cat population, which is estimated to be between 2 and 6 million. The reason for this "war" is because the feral cats are a threat to some of Australia’s endangered animals. However, the cat needs to have been living in an area that has threatened animals. This petition is to urge the Australian government to change their policy from killing feral cats to relocating them in a humane way or to spaying/neutering the feral population to help with population control. https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/26/asia/feral-cats-australia-intl/index.html
