Legislative Audit Committee contacted about Alamo

The following email was sent to the Legislative Audit Committee: From: Sarah Reveley To: Robert Nichols ; John Zerwas ; Joe Straus ; Jane Nelson ; Dennis Bonnen ; Dan Patrick Sent: Friday, June 02, 2017 1:39 PM Subject: Legislative Audit Committee concern about Alamo Hello, the Governor's office advised me that I should contact y'all regarding the petition for the Alamo.(letter attached) We are asking for you to tell the State Auditor to audit the GLO/Alamo financial records including all 501c3's, and that the monies appropriated to the GLO for the Alamo not be used for anything other than required maintenance and operations until the audit is complete and the legislature has vetted the recently released Alamo plan. The petition is at https://www.change.org/p/greg-abbott-remember-the-alamo-properly and was publicized on the internet by Facebook posts and emails. The petition to the Governor says: "Because of the public's negative reaction over the design team's solution for Alamo Plaza, and the projected cost that far exceeds HB 2968, I am requesting that the Governor requests the state auditor to audit the GLO/Alamo financial records including all 501c3's, and that the budget conference committee require that monies appropriated to the GLO for the Alamo not be used for anything other than required maintenance and operations until the audit is complete and the legislature has vetted the recently released Alamo plan." The petition has 688 supporters and many comments by now, so I have attached the comments and supporter list for you. I doublechecked the list and found about 6 people who signed twice, beats me how they were able to, but I deleted the additional signatures and the actual supporter list as of June 1 is 675. It is up to 682 (688-6) today. I realize there are many comments to read, but I hope you will consider the Alamo issue as important as we do. If there is anything else you need, please let me know.
