Is it really about color?

After meeting with the General Manager of Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary, we were advised that our request would NOT be granted because it would not be fair to the others who requested a different color outside of the Cherrywood Selection. Then she says she wants to help us and this is what can be done. We'll paint over it and waive the fee to install the marker. WTF!!!! Where is the Fairness? Our response was we do not want Cherrywood and request the Marker to be installed as is for these reasons: 1) We were not given the information that Cherrywood was the only selection. 2) There has been no documentation provided of policy on color requirements. 3) We petitioned that Green should be added as a secondary choice, since the CherryWood was just introduced 7 years ago as the result of a management decision by the General Manager. We were advised to have a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family "what's left of our family" and we'll receive a call on Monday from Marketing Mgr.
