Hey Greenpoint neighbors, I wanted to make sure that everyone knows that Java Discount on Manhattan Avenue is in danger of closing. The building was sold and the owners have received a notice to vacate by March 31. The new owners have not made it clear that a new lease is forthcoming. This store is old school essential. The two owners live in the neighborhood with their families, so there is even more at stake here. Please  sign the petition, contact our elected officials and do everything else you can think of to stand in the way. Thanks to Gwynne Hogan from dnainfo-- She has been by to interview the owners.
