The Albanian Genocide by the Greek government 0f 1944
The Çam (chams), an Albanian population set in Ciamuria, bordering Greece, suffered severe discrimination by the Greek regime during the 1930s and 1940s, first by the Pangalos government and then by Metaxas. Under the leadership of Napoleon Zervas, a former Greek colonel at the head of the EDES, the Chams became protagonists of a forgotten and hidden large-scale drama. Hellenic historiography denies what happened, while still today many members of this ethnic minority struggle to recognize their rights, despite many decades passed. In this documentary we'll see better the history around the oblivion of a mistreated people and the inconsistencies of a still unresolved issue.
