We have written an open letter to State Premiers, Chief Ministers and respective Opposition Leaders

Dear supporters,
Our David and Goliath battle for fairness and our home has been gaining traction through your support and kindness.
We have passed 15,000 signatures and as an example, only need 5,000 more to be tabled in NSW Parliament’s Legislative Assembly.
However, fixing a broken system in our home state is not enough. I have spoken to many impacted consumers from every corner of this great country and the issues remain consistent. When things go bad, consumers are left to fight alone and sometimes against shady operators, who are all too keen to leave the rule book behind.
Whilst there is a plethora of issues impacting Aussies locally and currently (eg cost of living pressures from declining real wages, soaring fuel and energy costs, ever changing COVID-19 health measures, rising interest rates and likely rising rental costs, the list goes on…), there hardly is a more personal issue than ineffective consumer protections against callous builders when building a home – whether to live in or to build a nest egg.
Building your home “should” be an exciting phase in one’s life and not the nightmare that it has become for so many Australians. Many builders and individuals in associated fields also feel passionate about our shared cause. They want the industry to thrive, with the right types of operators being rewarded and those hurting consumers to be reprimanded and made to leave or change their ways.
At this point I ask your help with 2 x 1-minute simple actions:
1) jump into my post on LinkedIn, feel free to also comment with your support (and what state or territory you’re from). This will ensure it garners the right level of momentum for your State/Territory leaders and MPs, to take notice, and;
2) continue to share our petition far and wide via email, your socials, or wherever else you may get into deep and meaningful conversations.
