I know that writing to your MP is not everyone's idea of fun, but I am hoping that you will feel able to help with my next suggestion. You know that Christmas card that is left in the bottom of the box each year? The one that is a bit lame and would offend a relative or friend if you sent it to them? Well I have found a use for it; send that card to your MP. Tell them that you are sending it on behalf of police widows that are spending Christmas alone as they have chosen to keep their pension and have forsaken a relationship as a result, and those widows who have chosen love over money and are going to struggle with the additional costs of the festive season. If you could include a copy of my poem 'From Those Who Went Before' that would be great. Just copy the poem from my earlier update, paste it into a word document and print it off - or you can email me and I will email it back to you for printing straight away.
