The petition total now stands at 37,378 signatures. I am overwhelmed by the support and best wishes that I am receiving. I am aware that other public service pensioners find themselves faced with the same awful choice that I had to make. It is for this reason that successive governments have refused to make the changes giving parity to all public service widows - the cost of being fair to all. I cannot rest upon my laurels if my campaign for change is to succeed, I am encouraging supporters to write to their MPs; a handful have already done so. If you attach your letter to an email it won't even cost you a stamp! Can you imagine the look upon Theresa May's face if letters to MPs totalled over 37,000? Thanks again to all who have signed.
