Compensation refused by the Ministry of Justice even though the letter from them says You Remain Innocent of the charges brought against you.

Apparently Brian does not meet the Statutory Test  for Compensation as set out in Section 133 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.  His case was proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he was innocent, even the Complainant admitting at the Retrial it wasn’t him.

Since 2014 when the Government made changes to the Compensation Claims the amount of Wrongfully Convicted People managing to claim compensation is slim to none.
Just another corrupted policy to stop paying out compensation.

If we have to have a Jury, let them decide if they find you Innocent of the crime or Not Guilty because of lack of evidence.

Innocent equals Compensation.
