First of all, I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart. We are so grateful for all of your support. You guys are truly amazing and it has been heart warming to see all of the incredible support you've shown  these boys.

I'm unbelievably sad to share that even with all this support we were once again denied. Below,  I've attached the response that was received today from the final email that was written to the board last night. I can't quite find the words to describe this, all I know is that it makes me very sad for the twins but also because it goes against everything that youth recreational sports stands for. I'm sorry I don't have better news to share but thank you for all your help and support, it's reassuring to see that there are still this many wonderful people throughout this community. **just to clarify, he mentions in the email that we were given the opportunity to find a "few" more kids and a coach and create a new team. But we were told we'd have to find at least 6 more kids at $250 per kid for registration and a coach, which we were unable to do.

St. Croix Valley Athletic Association
Good afternoon,

It has been brought to my attention and the Board's, that there is a petition going around about two children not being allowed to play. I want to clear this up and explain what actually transpired.

My board and I want to make things clear so that everyone understands. The two kids in question the Mother did not register the children this season. She reached out after registration had closed and teams were set and rosters were full. We are well aware this was an accident, but unfortunately it was too late.

The Mother caught her mistake and asked if the kids could be fit on the team. I explained that the team is full with 10 kids. If we added her children it would create playing time issues for the entire team. To keep the integrity of the league and protect all the kids. The board and I kept the roster at 10 kids and are keeping the roster at 10 kids.

I explained that if she could find another coach and a few other kids I would create another roster for her. So that her children could play.

Now I saw that the petition had quite a few signatures. I am going to say this, the amount of time and energy that went into that is what is needed when it comes to Volunteering and Coaching in this program. every season we run into this issue, not enough Coaches and Coordinators. My team and I work very hard facilitating this for the community. We are Volunteers just like you and Its not easy. When we dont have enough Volunteers it effects the rosters and the requests. There is only so much we can do and we have to work with what we have.

Seeing the amount of signatures on that petition I hope all those parents come out to volunteer next season. It is very easy to sit back and complain. If you feel so strongly please sign up to help.

Thanks everyone and have a great season!
