We've reached 300 signatures! A big thanks to everyone who has not only signed but also shared the petition with others. I am still encountering people who don't know about the petition or about the Fall Fest situation so I am certain we can find another 200 signatures with your help.

Your signature on this petition has been included in support of a senate bill proposing to recognize GASP as an official club that will be presented to the PUC Student Association this week. GASP has additionally submitted their application to be recognized as an official club for consideration by Student Life. Please sign and share to let these students know that they have your support.

Clubs (including special interest clubs) at PUC must apply for recognition as an approved campus organization on an annual basis and only approved organizations can plan functions. A standardized club fee is included in the Student Activities portion of each student's quarterly payment, allowing students to join up to two clubs with no additional charge.

Even though has been allowed to operate in an unofficial capacity at PUC since its founding in 2008 in the sense that they plan functions, select officers (have student leadership), and even faculty sponsorship, denying official club status to GASP means that students cannot apply their quarterly club fees to support their own special interest group, organize events and advertise them to the campus, or participate in college-sponsored events like Fall Fest.
