Grab said that they are now working on a cashless payment to prevent such incidents to happen again. As for the cash on delivery option, the customer cannot cancel the order once the rider accepted the booking. They are just looking into the possible situation wherein the customer would still not show up once the rider delivered their order. For this kind of incident, they encourage the riders to surrender the food to the nearest hub so they can process the reimbursement.
