Make Helmets compulsory for Children on two wheeler

28 people die in India, every day for not wearing helmets. While many states have made helmets compulsory for both men and women, no Indian state has made wearing helmet mandatory for children, who accompany their parents on two wheeler. In fact children on two wheeler are more prone to loss of life and limb.  Parents  are duty bound to safeguard their children from the scourge of road accidents. They should realise that ditching helmets will do no good to their children. Parents should understand that buying helmets for children and inculcating in them the habit of wearing helmet while on two wheeler; is in fact the real investment for your child's future.

The apex court  should step in and make helmets compulsory for children on two wheeler. It is time that the nation wakes up to the necessity of children wearing helmets.
