This year is our best chance to get pension reform. Please find a way to share this with all your district educators. It is important that all TRA members learn and advocate for a better pension. We need our voices to be heard loud and clear.

How does having the option of retiring up to 9 years early, receiving a larger retirement pension each year for the rest of your life, and/or trying a new career, like many Tier I retirees, sound to you? These options can happen in addition to retaining mid-career educators and attracting new ones. If this sounds good, could you please take action and write to your TRA board members? With a forecasted $12 billion Minnesota surplus, a former teacher governor, a seemly pro-education house and senate, and a budgetary year in the 2023 legislature, please take action now.
