There are numerous issues within Alaska's Marijuana Control Board that we must address in order to realize a strong, legal, cannabis industry in Alaska.

#1- Too much prohibitionist influence and/or alcohol industry presence exists on the Marijuana Control Board. This has led to delays in issuing licenses and numerous instances of "unreasonably impracticable" regulations being created.

#2- Chairperson, whom is tasked with overseeing regulation and issuance of licenses, is currently working in their local community to place commercial cannabis before a public vote. This is in line with issue #1, as well as a major ethical and detestable optic for the public who voted for a legal industry, licensees, and prospective licensees.

#3- There is currently no medical representative serving on the control board, which has led to opinion based regulation and not evidence based regulation. There is also no support for medical card holders or caregivers with our current regulatory system.
