You are SPECTACULAR!!

Thanks for your help: the petition to ask that PA licensees be allowed to sell booze to-go is already at 4,643 signatures, and closing in rapidly on 5,000! It has been shared 884 times, which is fantastic. 
What next?

• If you have any connections with the media -- local Patch sites, local newspapers, radio, television -- please share this with them.  The faster this gets traction, the faster this helps Pennsylvania's small businesses!  
• Tell your state representative, tell your state senator! (Use the "Find My Legislator" box at this site: https://www.legis.state.pa.us/ Send them an email: tell them what we want (take it right from the petition!), and send the link for the petition (http://chng.it/jccqbzzf7Y and ask them to take action. 
• Keep spreading the word by social media -- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (I'm really bad at Instagram, someone cover for me! -- and tell your friends in the industry that we're trying to help!

Remember: the ultimate goal of this petition is to get cooperative action from the Governor, the PA House, and the PA Senate. Any communication with them must be cordial, professional, and reasonable. Getting angry and calling anyone names isn't the way to bring people on board with our cause. People who aren't with us yet aren't stupid, they're just waiting to be persuaded. Yelling doesn't help. Insults don't help. Reasonable explanations do. Use them!

There has been some pushback from Pennsylvania brewers and distillers. That's understandable: this has been great for them, because their spirits and beer are now easier to get than alternatives, and they make a great option. WE STAND WITH THEM AS WELL. But we don't want one small business to succeed at the expense of another. Pennsylvania needs choices, and swapping one monopoly for another isn't fair. 

Some folks have said that this is about getting rid of the State Stores. That's not what we're aimed at. We want to keep small businesses, in our neighborhoods, open and surviving. That's a great goal. It's our goal.
