Here is how RBI wants us to mistake articulation for action. Protecting us from Digital Fraud is pending since May 2016 when Reserve Bank Deputy Governor S S Mundra made a hard hitting speech. In August 2016 it issued "DRAFT guidelines". In November 2016 demonetisation happened. Every since, digital transactions escalated and we have been pleading for the draft guidelines to be converted to law through a Master Circular notification. Nothing happened. RBI takes its time because we, the customers are not its priority. In May, a full year later, Mr Mundra is only TALKING AGAIN. Is there no accountability? We will have to raise our voices!!
