Bus stop safety is an ever growing issue.  Kids are being hit, countless other near misses, and it needs to be clear it will not be tolerated.  Tell our governor and legislators we will not stand for this, and want change enacted that will deter this from happening before other children are hurt.  I have witnessed at least 5 incidents at our bus stop this school year, and have heard of countless others.  Whether it be cameras to catch offenders, pick ups on same side of street, and/or stiffer penalties for doing so, changes need to be made, and quick.  Currently, failure to stop for a school bus adds 2 points to your license in Ohio and is punishable by fines up to $500.  Under current Ohio law, the felony charge of vehicular assault requires serious physical harm to the victims (tell that to a parent whose child was injured, but not seriously enough to face jail time).   No outside cameras are required on school buses to catch offenders.  Help me help our children.  Thank you!
