Just an update on Bill S469 for N.J. “Support Recovery” License Plate’s..... Senators Singer and Gopal (bipartisan support) are waiting for this bill to pass the Budget and Appropriations Committee.... after that they put it up for vote in the Senate and then goes to Governor Murphy’s desk.

These license plates will bring sorely needed funding for sober living options to folks suffering from a substance use disorder. It will reduce homelessness, reduce stigma and will raise awareness to the worst public health emergency in years. NJ Car gave me the $50,000 seed money required by the DMVC, I have over 900 signatures including hand signed and I have bipartisan support... it’s ready to go!

A big shout out to Assemblymen Kean and Egan for believing in me and initiating this bill. Hoping that Senator Paul Sarlo, Chair of that committee will bring bill S469 to vote! Please urge him to do so by calling his office at 201-804-8118. Let's save some lives and help reduce relapse by funding one of the most important recovery support services......Housing.
