One Year Ago Today

One year ago today the judge ordered that Drew be taken from the courtroom to begin serving a prison sentence. The judge was strongly urged by a number of professionals and autism organizations to please consider home incarceration. He sent our son to prison. It has been a literal nightmare. Strange how I can feel the intensity of the pain I felt one year ago watching my son being handcuffed and taken away.
