While Kashmir valley's most notorious known child rapist- #AijazSheikh is still out and avoiding conviction and jail time due to infinite delays in the court processes, Asaram Bapu has finally been convicted for rape after one of his victim's had lodged a complaint 9 years ago.
God bless the judiciary and judicial processes in India. Survivors of rape are re-victimised time and again, first by the families due to societal pressures stemming from shame and denial and later by the incompetent, primitive and lengthy court processes.
I must say that I am sick and tired of the lack of empathy shown by the judiciary towards the rape survivors in Jammu and Kashmir.
#AijazSheikh's case will be heard again for the ZILLIONTH TIME by the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Sopore on February 03, 2023.

1. "I was raped more than 500 times in a span of about three years. I developed serious health problems and had to be treated for rectal ulcers caused by the forced penetrations.

3. "Everytime a new child would stay for the night, he would undress him and check his body like a pervert and later ask me if I would like to rape him."
4. "My most dreaded moment was when Sheikh would force me to perform oral sex on him."
5. "One night, we were approximately 11 children at his place and he forced us to rape each other, while he watched and then raped one of the children from the group. This child was the most chubby in the group."
6."Me and my cousin were at his place for the night and he wanted me to rape my cousin, when I couldn't, he humiliated me by calling me a woman and then raped my cousin himself in front of me."
7. "He would force me to masturbate in front of him and record me on his phone. I wonder what would he do with all those recordings."
8. "I want him to be punished but my family doesn't want me to testify. I was raped countless times by Sheikh and he forced a number of boys to rape me. They didn't have a choice. We are all his victims."
9. "Sheikh would force me to penetrate him but when I couldn't he would rape me. He likes it both ways."
