Hello everyone!

On February 8th, Patrick finally sat before the New York State Board of Parole. His hearing was lengthy, the conversation got heavy, but the response from the Commissioners were very encouraging. One of the Commissioners commented that they have been doing parole hearings for a long time and they have never heard anyone speak about the ripple affects of their crime and the depths of their remorse the way Patrick did. Patrick was able to discuss the concept of “doing sorry” and how he applies it to his daily life and also how he plans continue doing sorry post-release.

It was evident that the Board was very impressed. And after a week of anxiously waiting for the Board’s decision, we finally got the news that we’ve all been waiting for. After 24+ years of enduring incarceration and 3+ years of being overlooked for clemency…
