Hello everyone,
On Christmas Eve, Governor Cuomo announced only seven clemencies to incarcerated individuals — Patrick was missing from that outrageously short list. It is as heartbreaking as it is infuriating. In 2015, Governor Cuomo announced that he was “taking a critical step toward a more just, more fair, and more compassionate New York… to help ensure that clemency is a more accessible and tangible reality.” We have not seen action to back up his words. Seven commutations is not at all a reflection of accessibility. Of the more than 2,500 New Yorkers who applied for clemency in 2020, Governor Cuomo granted clemency to 12 incarcerated people — that’s less than 1% of all who applied.
Despite our deep frustration, our fight continues. Please continue to spread the word that Patrick Stephens deserves clemency!

As always, thank you for your support and your prayers. We are prayerful that THIS YEAR will be the LAST YEAR that Patrick is behind bars!
