In the wake of the tragic death of 5 year old AJ Freund in Crystal Lake it’s evident that changes in the DCFS system that were promised after the death of Semaj Crosby have not happened. The continuing underfunding of DCFS has lead to wide spread employee shortages and overwhelming caseloads that make it nearly impossible for caseworkers to perform due diligence. How many more children must die before we say enough? Changes need to be made now! Funding needs to be increased now! The voters of Illinois demand change!
