Dr. Stephen Kemble will present a 45 minute power point presentation on Single Payer Health Care which includes a full analysis of the problems facing the delivery of health care in Hawaii. Then, we will have a good and long Q & A in which people watching via live stream on FB can ask questions and make suggestion. From that knowledge base we will clearly see a path to: 1. Fixing the delivery of health care in Hawaii 2. Fixing how we are all covered This will especially benefit senior citizens in Hawaii. Medicare in Hawaii is a mess. Fixing the delivery of health care in Hawaii will immediately benefit the lives of all our Kupuna. One new goal for tomorrows meeting is to discuss and settle on the language in a 'Memo' to be delivered to the Hawaii Democratic Party before January 3. January 3 is the deadline for adding a Single Payer Health Care plan to the Hawaii Democratic Parties 2017 legislative agenda. At least by 8:30 pm we will begin to discuss the next steps, which includes: 1. Recruiting leaders to hold meetings and events in every neighborhood on every Island. 2. Recruiting volunteers to bring the "Bern!" back to the streets! Yes, lets Sign Wave and canvas for a Hawaii State version of Bernie's Medicare for All. A Single Payer bill will immensely benefit everyone in Hawaii; businesses and individuals. As an understanding of the why and how spreads, so will the necessary 'political will.' The next meeting in Honolulu is on January 6 at the Democratic Party Headquarters on South Street, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Dr. Kemble will once again offer his amazingly detailed and informative analysis and insights. It will also be live streamed. We will build support and prepare for recruiting many members of our state legislature as co sponsors for the Health Care bill we choose.
